April 16: The Cross and New Life
Scripture:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
—2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Reflection:
The cross doesn’t just offer forgiveness—it offers transformation. When we come to Christ, our old life dies and we are born again. The cross marks the end of who we were and the beginning of who we’re becoming in Him: new, free, and filled with purpose.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for making me new. Help me to walk in that newness of life every day. Let the power of the cross continually renew my heart, my mind, and my purpose. Amen.
