April 4 -The Cross and Forgiveness
April 4: The Cross and Forgiveness
Scripture:
“And you, being dead in your trespasses… He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us… And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”
—Colossians 2:13-14 (NKJV)
Reflection:
The cross is where our debts were canceled. Every sin, every failure, every accusation—nailed to the cross with Christ. Forgiveness isn’t based on our performance but on His finished work. When we feel shame or condemnation, we can look to the cross and remember: it is finished.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for forgiving all my sins. Teach me to live in the freedom of that forgiveness and to extend grace to others as You have to me. Amen.
