April 11 – The Cross and Our Crucified Flesh
April 11: The Cross and Our Crucified Flesh
Scripture:
“And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
—Galatians 5:24 (NKJV)
Reflection:
The cross calls us to die—to our selfish desires, our old habits, and the ways of the flesh. As followers of Christ, we don’t just admire the cross; we take up our own. Living crucified lives means daily surrender, letting God have full control.
Prayer:
Jesus, help me to daily lay down my old ways and live by the Spirit. Let the cross be more than a symbol—let it be a lifestyle. Crucify anything in me that keeps me from fully following You. Amen.
